Construction will start in mid-2023 and be completed about 18 months later. Graton Resort & Casino announced a major expansion project for its casino and hotel in April 2022. Graton remained closed until Jwhen it reopened in the first phase of a managed process to ensure the safety of guest and employees. In early 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic caused Graton Resort & Casino to shut down operations. The hotel project cost $175 million to complete.
Amenities include a fitness center and spa, a pool, and a 20,000 square-foot event center. On Novemthe new 200 guest room hotel opened. Estimated permanent jobs is 2000 employees. Estimated first-year gaming revenue is $328.5 million and estimated 7th year is $392 million. The tribe signed a 20-year state gaming compact to pay a percentage of revenues to the state plus $200 million for public safety and other community services. The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria opened their 534,000-square-foot casino resort at the northwest edge of Rohnert Park on Nov 5, 2013.
